The Precious Milk Source – New Zealand Grass-Fed Milk.

Sourced only from Grass-Fed certified New Zealand farms, Promex is committed to ensure consistency in the source of our ingredients, giving you peace of mind that the milk you are consuming is of trusted quality.

New Zealand is known for its clean, beautiful and majestic grassland, providing an ideal environment for cattle and cows to graze. Globally, it is estimated that only 10% of the milk production originates from grazing system [1][2] and in New Zealand, cows graze freely on open fields and feed on natural grass [3] for over 350 days [4] a year. This allows the cows to express their natural behaviour and maintain their health.

Dairy Farming, the Natural Way

At Promex, we believe that healthy cows produce nutritious milk.

96% of our cows’ diet is grass [9], as nature intended. With sunny days and mild temperatures in New Zealand, our cows spend on average 97% [4] of their time outside on grassland – this translates to a healthy dose of sunlight for the cows.

Benefits of Grass-Fed Milk

The benefits of consuming grass-fed milk are numerous, starting with its high concentration of essential nutrients such as calcium, high-quality protein, Vitamin A, riboflavin (Vitamin B2), and Vitamin B12.[6][7][8] Milk is often a staple in most kitchens, but the kind you choose matters.

Studies show that milk from grass-fed cows has higher levels of some key nutrients than regular grain-fed cows. Grass-Fed milk contains higher omega-3, and a concentration of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) that is two to three times higher than that found in the milk from grain-fed cows. [10]
